Alex Kittrell

Alex enjoying a moment in the field.

Alex was drawn to the West upon his first visit to the Rocky Mountains at age 14 and in 1995 he made his move toward the Pacific.  He attended the University of Montana where he earned a degree in Biology and took the opportunity to explore the Sun Valley area while working for the Forest Service during the summers. Rock climbing initially introduced him to the venue of the local mountain ranges but the ski terrain brought him to Ketchum full time in 2003.  His resume of descents includes peaks in at least sixteen mountain ranges regionally.  His time at SVHS began with fueling and machine wizardry as he worked from the title of honorable fuel boy into the ranks of his cohorts.  A zealousness to explore the mountains has driven Alex to pursue accreditation from the American Mountain Guides Association as a Ski Guide.  We are happy to have Alex as a member of our guide staff.
