The Smoky Mountain Lodge is located west of Sun Valley in the South Fork of the Boise River drainage. It is the only fly-in heli-ski lodge in the lower 48 states and the only access to the lodge in the winter is via helicopter. The lodge is a luxurious backcountry getaway with all the amenities of home. A wood-burning stove and river rock fireplace heat the great room and provide for a relaxing post-skiing atmosphere.
