Join us for a half day of helicopter skiing and riding in the majestic Idaho backcountry. This is a great adventure for a first time heli-skier or rider who wants to gain the backcountry experience without the pressure of a full day in the backcountry. For beginner groups we have intermediate terrain which typically makes it easy for the first time heli skier and rider to enjoy the backcountry. It is also great for more experienced, but budget conscious skiers and riders. A half day of helicopter skiing and riding includes 3 runs per person. Each run typically ranges from approximately 1,000 to 3,000 vertical feet of legendary Idaho powder. We provide our guests with state of the art Mammut S avalanche transceivers and Mammut avalanche airbags. A daily safety briefing is provided to our guests to familiarize them with our helicopter, terrain, equipment and other protocols. Our terrain accommodates intermediate and advanced skiers and riders.
EXTRA RUNS ARE AVAILABLE FOR $150 PER PERSON PER RUN
*Non holiday season excludes Opening Day 2018 through January 5, 2020 and February 15 through February 23, 2020. Half day heli skiing is not available on a daily basis and is subject to availability.

Sun Valley Heli Ski strongly recommends that all guests carry Trip Cancellation Insurance, Trip Interruption Insurance, Medical Insurance, and Emergency Evacuation Insurance. These insurance types safeguard you against unforeseen mishaps that can occur before or during your heli vacation with us. OUR REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICIES ARE ABSOLUTE. IF YOU INJURE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU COME OR HAVE CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH CAUSE YOU TO CANCEL YOUR TRIP, YOUR PACKAGE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED BEYOND THE TERMS OF THE ABOVE POLICIES. Depending on the carrier and the policy, such insurance is usually a small fraction of the overall package price and could reimburse you the entire cost of your trip in the event of your cancellation. SVHS recommends using Travel Guard insurance.
