    Terms and Conditions

    A $500 per day / per person deposit is required to reserve your trip. The balance of the trip plus 6% state sales tax is due 60 days before the trip. Cancellations later than 60 days for any reason will incur full charges. For this reason, we highly encourage purchase of Trip Insurance! Trips booked less than 60 days from the trip require full payment to reserve the trip. Exceptions to these rules may be considered but are case by case.

    ·       No refund will be issued in the event of a no-show.

    ·       No refunds are issued in part or in whole for unused days due to a guest’s late arrival, early departure or any other reason.

    ·       No refunds are issued for missed skiing or riding due to ability, fitness, equipment failure, or personal choice. You acknowledge that you will be in sufficient physical condition to helicopter ski or ride on your reserved day. If a guest becomes injured, ill, or requests to leave the field prematurely for any reason, no refund will be made. 

    Cancellation due to weather or snow conditions

    Sun Valley Heli Ski is dedicated to providing high quality skiing and riding! We do operate in the backcountry and weather and snow conditions dictate our ability to provide services. We strongly encourage trip insurance to protect your trip!

    SVHS provides its guests 6 runs per day for full day heli-skiing. If we are unable to provide you with 6 runs you will receive a refund of $100 per run per person. 

    If we are un-able to fly on your reserved day due to weather conditions 100% credit is honored for 3 years from the date of purchase. If cash refund is desired for unused credit, you are entitled to a 50% cash refund for whatever the balance owed, refunds must be requested in the same calendar year of the reservation date.


    Weight 

    Each guest will be asked to step on the scale at our headquarters Due to weight limitations, although rare, we reserve the right to split your group. Additionally, an individual weighing 240 pounds or more may expect to pay all or part of an extra seat.


    Age

    We do not have a minimum or maximum age requirement. We do ask that minors are accompanied by a legal guardian. Also, groups with minors of age 12 or under are asked to buy a full helicopter load of 4 seats (full helicopter load.)

    How We Use Your Personal Information

    Providing Products and Services. We use your personal information to provide you with the Services in order to perform our contract with you, including to process your payments, fulfill your orders, to send notifications to you related to your account, purchases, returns, exchanges or other transactions, to create, maintain and otherwise manage your account, to arrange for shipping, facilitate any returns and exchanges and other features and functionalities related to your account.

    Marketing and Advertising. We may use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send marketing, advertising and promotional communications by email, text message or postal mail, and to show you advertisements for products or services. This may include using your personal information to better tailor the Services and advertising on our Site and other websites. If you are an EEA resident, the legal basis for these data processing activities is our legitimate interest in selling our products, according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR..

    Communicating with You and Service Improvement. We use your personal information to provide you with customer support and improve our Services. This is in our legitimate interests in order to be responsive to you, to provide effective services to you, and to maintain our business relationship with you according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

  • Reservations and Payment 

    By intializing and submitting this form, you agree that you have placed one or more non-refundable $500 deposits per person to reserve the seats you are reserving. The remaining balance will be due when you return from your ski tour.

    Waiver and Release

    On or prior to your scheduled heli ski or riding day, you will be required to sign a Waiver and Release. This Agreement states that you understand all the unique risks of flying in a helicopter in mountainous terrain in potentially hazardous weather while skiing and riding in the backcountry and that you agree to assume all the risks associated with such activities. It also states, among other things, that you will release SVHS from all liability under any circumstances and that you will indemnify SVHS for any liabilities it may incur for providing these services. Finally, it states that you will not sue SVHS under any circumstances. The full text of the Agreement is available on the bottom of our website under “Waiver and Release.” It is mandatory that you read this important document.

    Cancellation and Refund Policy

    You agree without question to adhere to SVHS’s Cancellation and Refund Policy.

    SVHS’s Cancellation and Refund Policy provides that all payments made to SVHS are non-refundable.

    Our refund policy applies to the following:

    · No refund or credit will be issued in the event you do not arrive at your scheduled designation at the designated time as advised by SVHS staff.

    · No refunds or credits are issued in part or in whole for unused days due to a guest’s late arrival, early departure or any other reason.

    · No refunds or credits are issued for missed skiing or riding due to ability, fitness, equipment failure, or personal choice. You acknowledge that you will be in sufficient physical condition to helicopter ski or ride at high elevations on your reserved day.

    It is important to note that it is not the responsibility of SVHS to remind you of your reservation. It is the responsibility of the guest to be on time at whatever time or location SVHS may direct, on their reserved day.

    As a reservation holder, you are required to remain available until Noon on each of your available days.

    SVHS reserves the right to evacuate any guest out of the field if the guest does not have the requisite skills to helicopter ski or ride or is otherwise a danger to the individual or others. If a guest becomes injured, ill, or requests to leave the field prematurely for any reason, no refund will be made. Additional flight time and other costs resulting from an evacuation or early departure from the field will be charged to the guest.

    In the event that we are unable to fly due to weather or other circumstances (as described below), in SVHS’s sole discretion, we will try to reschedule your trip on a space available basis. If we are unable to do so, your deposit will be applied to another trip.You will receive 100% credit for your deposit until the end of the following Sun Valley Heli Ski Season. After that your credit will diminish 10% per year until a period of 5 years when it will be void. 

    SVHS reserves the right to cancel any day at any time for any reason at its sole discretion. If SVHS is unable to deliver a reserved day due to the inability to meet minimum group requirements, snow conditions, weather or any other cause subject to SVHS’s sole discretion, we will reschedule your days as described above.

    Trip Insurance

    Sun Valley Heli Ski strongly recommends that all guests carry Trip Cancellation Insurance, Trip Interruption Insurance, Medical Insurance, and Emergency Evacuation Insurance. These various coverages safeguard you against unforeseen mishaps that can occur before or during your helicopter day with us. OUR REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY IS ABSOLUTE. IF YOU INJURE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU COME OR HAVE CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH CAUSE YOU TO CANCEL YOUR TRIP, YOUR PACKAGE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED BEYOND THE TERMS OF THE ABOVE POLICY.

    Full Day Heli Ski & Riding Run Guarantee

    SVHS guarantees its guests 6 runs per day for full day heli skiing. If you do not get in 6 runs, you will receive a refund of $100 per run per person. SVHS reservations are based on run achievement. If you choose to miss any skiing or riding for any reason, you will be charged the runs achieved by the groups in the field for that day.

    Availability/Weights/Age

    SVHS’s helicopter seats 4 guests and one guide in each group. Upon request, SVHS will do its best to keep your group together. However, at the elevations we fly to in the mountains, there is an upper weight limit for each group, including gear, which cannot be exceeded in order to operate safely. Due to weight limitations, we reserve the right to split your group. Each guest will be asked to step on the scale at our headquarters or other location so we can accurately calculate weights and safe groupings. Additionally, an individual weighing 240 pounds or more may expect to pay all or part of an extra seat.

    Youth under the age of 18 require an adult to accompany them. Children 12 & under must have the entire 4-pack pod booked i.e. skiing with their own group.

    I acknowledge that I have read the above policies, having had sufficient opportunity to do so, and understand them. I acknowledge that my reservation will not be confirmed nor my space secured until I have returned this signed contract with a non-refundable $500 per person deposit, or non-refundable full payment, depending on the timing of the payment and the provisions above. I also agree that I will sign the Waiver and Release, the terms of which are summarized above. I understand that by initializing this contract, either electronically or physically, I agree to be bound by its terms.

  • HASTA (Heli Assisted Ski Tour Adventure)

    Sun Valley Heli Ski offers ski touring packages upon availability. Please call or talk to one of our staff as these packages are customizable. Base price is $3500 for up to 4 guests which includes up to ½ hour of flight time.

  • Sun Valley Heli Ski (“SVHS”) takes great pride in the helicopter experiences and exceptional customer service which we provide. In return, we ask that our guests understand that we must make advanced financial and time commitments in order to provide these services. Flying helicopters in a mountain environment is a complex experience and certain elements of the experience are beyond our control.     SCENIC FLIGHT & BALDY RIDES RESERVATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

    Reservations and Payment

    Scenic Flights and Baldy Rides are only sold by the group, which can accommodate up to 4 guests. By intializing and submitting this form, you agree that you have made a non-refundable deposit equal to 100% of the purchase price in order to reserve the aircraft. The only exception to our refund policy is when we are unable to fly due to weather or other circumstances in SVHS’s sole discretion as described below.

    Insurance

  • Private Heli Skiing

    Pricing

    SVHS 2025/26 Private Heli-Skiing Pricing

    1-3 Guests $18,000 per day plus 6% sales tax

    4-8 guests $28000 per day plus 6% sales tax

    9-12 Guests $32,000 per day plus 6% sales tax

    Groups larger that 12 may be accommodated but this must be set up as a custom trip.

    Private trips are sold as an experience and include extra flight time. Partial day credits and refunds will be based on hours of field time. 6 hours of field time is considered a full day. If conditions allow field time may be greater that 6 hours. If weather or snow conditions limit the amount of field time 15% trip price per hour less than 6 hours will be credited with a 2 hour minimum. 

    SVHS provides its guests 6 runs per day for full day heli-skiing. If we are unable to provide you with 6 runs you will receive a refund of $100 per run per person. 

    If we are un-able to fly on your reserved day due to weather conditions 100% credit is honored for 3 years from the date of purchase.   • Smoky Mountain Lodge (SML) Trips

    We very much appreciate your interest in Sun Valley Heli Ski and the Idaho Smoky Mountain Lodge! Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully.     A $25,000 deposit is required to hold your reservation for a SML trip. Full payment is due 60 days before your reserved date. For this reason, we highly encourage purchase of Trip Insurance! Trips booked less than 60 days from the trip require full payment to reserve the trip. Exceptions to these rules may be considered but are case by case.

    Cancellation and Refund Policy.  You agree without question to adhere to SVHS’s Cancellation and Refund Policy.  Except as described below, all payments made to SVHS are non-refundable, regardless of whether you are able to fly with SVHS on your scheduled fly date. 

    ·       No refund will be issued in the event of a no-show.

    ·       No refunds are issued in part or in whole for unused days due to a guest’s late arrival, early departure or any other reason.

    ·       No refunds are issued for missed skiing or riding due to ability, fitness, equipment failure, or personal choice. You acknowledge that you will be in sufficient physical condition to helicopter ski or ride at high elevations on your reserved day. If a guest becomes injured, ill, or requests to leave the field prematurely for any reason, no refund will be made. Additional costs resulting from an evacuation or early departure from the field may be charged to the guest.

    The only exception to our Cancellation and Refund Policy is when we are unable to fly due to weather or other circumstances, in SVHS’s sole discretion.

    If these exceptions apply, you will receive 100% of unused credit towards any Sun Valley Heli Ski product(s) for a period of up to 3 years of the date of purchase. If cash refund is desired for unused credit, you are entitled to a 50% cash refund for whatever the balance owed, refunds must be requested in the same Calander year of the reservation date. Please consider trip insurance for these trips.

    In the event your 3 day trip is partially interrupted and is a one night trip at the Idaho Smokey Mountain Lodge you will receive 40% of the trip price in credit towards any Sun Valley Heli Ski product valid for 3 years from the date of purchase based on availability. If cash refund is desired for unused credit, you are entitled to a 20% cash refund for whatever the balance owed, refunds must be requested in the same Calander year of the reservation date.

    Smoky Mountain Lodge Run Guarantee

    SVHS guarantees its guests 18 runs per person for a 3-day 2-night SML trip. If you do not achieve the requisite number of runs, you will receive a refund of $100 per run per person. If you would like to ski or ride additional runs, we will try to accommodate you, subject to weather, snow conditions, logistics and other matters in SVHS’s sole discretion. The charge for exceeding the maximum guaranteed runs is $175 per run per person. SVHS reservations are based on run achievement. If you choose to miss any skiing or riding for any reason, you will be charged the runs achieved by the groups in the field for that day.

    Availability/Weights

    SVHS will only book up to 8 seats per SML trip. A group of heli skiers and riders is comprised of up to 4 guests and one guide. At the elevations we fly to in the mountains, there is an upper weight limit for each group, including gear, which cannot be exceeded in order to operate safely.  SVHS will do its best to accommodate you on the desires of your group. However, adjustments may have to be made due to weight restrictions of the aircraft and other related matters. As a result, we reserve the right to split your groups.

    I acknowledge that I have read the above policies, having had sufficient opportunity to do so, and understand them. I acknowledge that my reservation will not be confirmed nor my space secured until I have returned this signed contract with a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the full purchase price, or non-refundable full payment, depending on the timing of the payment and the provisions above. I understand that by initializing this contract, either electronically or physically, I agree to be bound by its terms.

  • Sun Valley Ski Resort Lodging Package

    3 nights at Sun Valley Lodge (Inn Available)

    2 days of heli- skiing

     4 lift tickets

    $18936.00 including tax


    Deposit- $7800 due upon booking.

    Lodging Cancellation- Cancellations less that 60 days out will incur full lodging charges of $3800.00 per trip for a 3-night stay.

    Sun Valley Heli Ski is dedicated to providing high quality skiing and riding! We do operate in the backcountry and weather and snow conditions dictate our ability to provide services. We strongly encourage trip insurance to protect your trip!

    SVHS provides its guests 6 runs per day for full day heli-skiing. If we are unable to provide you with 6 runs you will receive a refund of $100 per run per person. 

    If we are un-able to fly on your reserved day due to weather conditions 100% credit is honored for 3 years from the date of purchase. If cash refund is desired for unused credit, you are entitled to a 50% cash refund for whatever the balance owed, refunds must be requested in the same Calendar year of the reservation date.

  • Gift certificates are available for all of our products. Gift certificates can be bought for the specific product or for a fixed dollar amount that can be used for any of our products. Gift certificates are valid for the ski season in which they are issued and the following season. The value of a gift certificate is equal to the non-holiday rate of the product purchased in the season in which the gift certificate was purchased. If the gift certificate is not used in the season in which it was issued, it will decline in value by 10% the following season. The actual gift certificate document must be presented in order to qualify for a reservation. Once a reservation is booked with a gift certificate, the reservation is deemed non-refundable. If the holder of the gift certificate cancels for any reason, the gift certificate is then void.
